Botrytis Blight on Lilies
Wednesday, 15 June 2005 14:35
Botrytis blight on lilies starts as oval shaped, reddish brown to tan spots on the leaves. The spots often have purple margins. The entire plants are destroyed as the spots grow together. The causal agents are the fungi Botrytis cinerea and Botrytis elliptica.
It is essential to take preventive measures against Botrytis Blight because once the spots are present on the leaf tissue they cannot be removed.
The recommended fungicides include 26 GT, Daconil, Heritage, Sextant and Protect T/O.
